It is family reunion week! The kids and I just returned from my celebrating my mom’s birthday. Up next, we get to go see my dad’s side of the family. And the next weekend is my niece’s birthday so off we go again. I’m grateful that family lives close (all three of our trips are under 2 and 1/2 hours, as opposed to the 7 and 1/2 it used to take to drive to central New York).
Compared to the last month this work week should be pretty low key- no swim, and no AWANA. Our routine should consist of dinner, playtime, baths and bedtime routines. Of course, that assumes a bedtime routine that somehow ensures EK willingly stays in bed which for this season is a long shot.
Here’s the menu to get us through the week:
Sunday: Chicken Nuggets and Sweet Potato Fries
Monday: Salmon and Asian Salad, naan
Wednesday: Chicken Kabobs, Grilled Veggies and Brown Rice
Thursday: Burgers, Chips and Salad
Friday: Pizza and veggies
Saturday: dinner with extended family
